The Ardsley Park–Chatham Crescent Garden Club was founded in 1973 by influential Savannahian Mary Myrick and a small group of neighbors who shared a love for their community and a commitment to keeping it beautiful. From the very beginning, the Club has been rooted in friendship, civic pride, and a shared belief that caring for our neighborhood is both a privilege and a responsibility.

Ardsley Park–Chatham Crescent is a place people feel deeply connected to—and in 2025, it was proudly voted Savannah’s Most Beloved Neighborhood. Known for its gracious homes, tree-lined streets, welcoming green spaces, and strong sense of community, the neighborhood reflects generations of neighbors who have worked together to protect its character while embracing those who come to visit.

For more than five decades, the Garden Club has played an active role in preserving and enhancing this special place through beautification projects, educational initiatives, and events that bring neighbors together. Most recently, the Club funded the installation of a commemorative fountain honoring founder Mary Myrick—a lasting tribute to her vision, leadership, and love for the neighborhood.

Sharing What We Love

One of the Garden Club’s most cherished traditions is the annual Tour of Homes & Gardens. Created as a way to share the beauty of Ardsley Park–Chatham Crescent beyond its front porches, the tour welcomes visitors into private homes and gardens while supporting the ongoing care and preservation of the neighborhood.

Each tour reflects the spirit that makes this community so special—pride of place, generosity, and a desire to share something truly loved. Proceeds help fund projects that protect green spaces, support historic character, and ensure that Ardsley Park–Chatham Crescent remains vibrant and welcoming for years to come.
